Vintage Tractors

At South Yeo we are currently collecting a range of vintage and classic tractors. We currently run a range of Ford & Fordson machines with some David Browns from the 60’s and 70’s.

The oldest tractor we have is a 1938 Fordson N which is up for restoration as soon as we have the space and time to do it. However a more pressing project is the DB 990 which is a 12 speed 1967 machine. We have a donor tractor, out of which we hope to salvage the engine and some tinwork. This 990 should be quite interesting to drive as it has 3 gear levers. The normal 1,2,3 & reverse; a hi-lo range change and a low-normal splitter, Thus giving the 12 forward speeds.

Ian has taken to taking tractors apart and hiding them in bits around the farm, so that Gillian can no longer count how many he has got!!
